| Bhiwani is a district in Haryana, India, has an area of 5,099 square kilometres (1,969 sq mi). Situated between 28.19 deg. & 29.05 deg. north latitude and 75.26 deg. and 76.28 deg. east longitude, it has 442 villages with a population of 1.42 million. The district headquarters is the city of Bhiwani, which is around 124 kilometres from Delhi. Bhiwani is known for its numerous temples and therefore is also called the little Kashi, also known as Benares of India.A famous Sri Hari Har temple is also there. It is called as "Chhota Kashi" because of the number of temples in the city. There are very famous temples in Bhiwani. Apart from this , some big industries are also here such as Grasim Bhiwani Textiles Ltd (A subsidiary of Grasim Industries). The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences , is also in Bhiwani.
